Sheffield Wednesday will aim to get back to winning ways this week as they face two matches in quick succession.
Garry Monk’s side were defeated 2-1 at the weekend by West Bromwich Albion, meaning it is now four straight matches without a victory and a third consecutive game where they have seen potential points slip through their grasp.
The 40-year-old has lambasted individual errors costing his side yet again, so it is about time he did something about it, starting with the number one culprit.

On the Chalkboard
Keiren Westwood has been an enormous part of Wednesday folklore for the best part of five years now, but his latest antics only go to show why it is best if Monk started to look more towards the future.
The 35-year-old saw a rush of blood to the head as he leapt off his line to swipe Matheus Pereira down inside the penalty area to hand Charlie Austin the winner courtesy of an 88th-minute spot-kick.
In the game before, against Swansea City, the veteran shot-stopper flapped at Ben Wilmot’s late, late equaliser.
By dropping Westwood, Monk can kill two birds with one stone.
Firstly, he’ll be removing one of the key instigators to their recent downfall and replacing him with a very fine backup in Cameron Dawson, who has kept four clean sheets in five appearances this campaign.
And secondly, the introduction of the 24-year-old will be the first step in reducing the average age of the squad ahead of a summer, which is potentially going to be a transitional period with over ten players out of contract.

Monk’s current side are the oldest in the division, while no player under the age of 23 has played a league game this term.
The Wednesday chief will also be able to get a proper look at Dawson and decide whether or not he’s worth keeping on past the season as he is one of the many players that sees his contract come to an end this summer.
Meanwhile, this Wednesday transfer target has continued to impress at his current club.
