Once a Red Devil, always a Red Devils. Jose Mourinho may have been sacked as Manchester United manager last December, but that hasn’t stopped the Portuguese man from still showing considerable affection for his former side.
Working as a pundit for Sky Sports as he continues life outside of management, Mourinho was on duty for United’s clash with Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side stifled the visitors at Old Trafford with an impressive display, and were unlucky not to come away with all three points after a late equaliser from Adam Lallana.
Speaking after the game, Jurgen Klopp criticised the Red Devils for their defensive approach – a remark that didn’t go down too well with Mourinho. The former Chelsea manager took a dig at the German by suggesting he was simply complaining about not being able to win at United, and that he “didn’t like the menu”.
