England captain Kane committed to a four-year contract when severing ties with Tottenham and linking up with Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023. He is approaching the end of his second season in Germany, with the hope being that 2025 will be the year in which his career-long trophy duck is finally broken.

It has been suggested that, as silverware begins to fall within reach, Kane may be tempted to return to his homeland once an elusive medal is secured. Any retracing of steps to the Premier League would allow him to continue chasing down Alan Shearer’s top-flight record of 260 goals.
DID YOU KNOW?
United have been heavily linked with Kane in the past, but have endured a humbling fall from grace of late, while Liverpool are considered to be in the mix as they close in on another domestic title triumph. It could be that England’s No.9 is leading the line for a heavyweight outfit in the North West next season.

Former United and Spurs scout Mick Brown believes that could happen, telling of Kane’s plans for the immediate future: “He has his heart set on breaking Alan Shearer’s record. Coming back to the Premier League is the first step towards doing that, so I think he’ll be looking at his options in the summer.
“He would start for any of England’s top clubs, but can they afford his asking price and wages? There’s been so much talk about it, and from what I hear he wants to come back to England.
“Man United are in for him, he’s been a long-term target there, but can they afford it? The other option is Liverpool. They’re more financially stable and the manager wants to strengthen his attacking options this summer with a new centre-forward.
“There aren’t many better out there than Harry Kane, so I don’t doubt they’re interested. I think they’d be at the front of line for him if he did become available.”
