According to reports in the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds United duo Lee Erwin and Toumani Diagouraga look set to leave the club this summer after being deemed surplus to requirements by Whites boss Thomas Christiansen.
The former scored four goals in the Yorkshire outfit’s first two pre-season friendlies but he was left out of the squad for the fixture against North Ferriby United on Wednesday and looks set to miss out on the squad for the pre-season tour to Austria.
The Scottish forward has struggled to make an impact at Elland Road following a move from Motherwell in 2015, and he spent last season on loan at Oldham Athletic.
Meanwhile, Diagouraga also looks set to miss out on the trip to Austria and with just 12 months remaining on his contract, he has been encouraged to find a new club having the spent the latter stages of the previous campaign on loan with Ipswich Town.
Leeds supporters were quick to have their say on the rumour via social media, and while some believe that Christiansen has made the correct decision, others are “shocked” and they would rather have Erwin than Marcus Antonsson in attack.
