Earlier this week, Leeds United managing director Angus Kinnear claimed in an interview that the club had enough quality to overcome a difficult period.
However, Kinnear’s words were not exactly welcomed by the Championship club’s supporters, who have insisted that the squad is lacking in key areas.
Leeds are currently on a four-game winless run in all competitions having lost to Leicester City in the EFL Cup on October 24, before suffering defeats to Sheffield United, Derby County and Brentford in their last three Championship fixtures.
After a strong start to the 2017-18 campaign, the former Champions League semi-finalists are now down in 10th position in the Championship table – 12 points off the league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers after 16 games of the season.
There is still a long way to go, but a number of Leeds fans are worried whether their team is strong enough to challenge for promotion this season.
On Sunday, Leeds will welcome fifth-placed Middlesbrough to Elland Road, and another poor result would lead to more discontent.
