Dalot is the first of likely United players to welcome Amorim to Old Trafford. The Portuguese full-back appears excited to work with his countryman having been in and out of the team under Ten Hag. Dalot was heavily criticised for missing an open goal in Red Devils' Premier League loss to West Ham last weekend but appears to have already put the incident behind him.

In an interview with, Dalot said of Amorim: "He's obviously a fantastic coach, young mentality but he knows what he wants. Very demanding, that's what I can expect and I think that's a perfect match for a club like this. The standards are really high. I hope it can be a really good match and I wish for us to win together.
"The Premier League really suits people from Portugal. It's been all over the years that Portuguese managers and players coming to England and being successful, so I really hope it's one more case and I am really excited to start working with him. We are going to be a team. We have to work with each other and we will help him in some ways and I am sure he will help us."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Dalot may well benefit from the system Amorim deploys. He favours a three-at-the-back formation with wing-backs, meaning Dalot could slot in as one of the three centre-backs or on the flank. He has played as both a left and right-back under Ten Hag as well as centrally when needed there. His versatility is very likely to suit the new head coach.

Most United players may not meet with their head coach until after the next international break. Although Amorim officially joins on November 11, players like Dalot will be jetting off to represent their countries and will have to get up to speed quickly when they return to face Ipswich on November 24.
